Have you Been Ignoring Your Body's Whispers?

Updated: Aug 7

So I’m at my chiropractor and see this pop up on the screen. I feel like this quote doesn’t get the attention it really should; especially with how important it is.

One thing I hear regularly from my clients is they have “anxiety”. Automatically, I ask them to

point to where they feel it on their bodies. Now you might be thinking, “Astrik...that’s a weird

question to ask someone”. But is it really a weird question? Here let me explain...

Unfortunately as we grow into adults we ignore many triggers (whispers) our bodies try to tell us. The racing of our hearts, the unsettled stomachs, or how about “it’s just a little headache”? It becomes an unhealthy habit of “pushing through” how we are feeling instead of pausing to figure out “why”. And when we don’t take the step to figure out why our “natural alarm system” is going off, these physical triggers can compound and then boom, we get hit with an anxiety or panic attack (the scream).

Well if you haven’t guessed yet, 🚨spoiler alert 🚨your physical health and mental health are

connected. Our feelings (physical & emotional) connect to our thoughts 🧠, which then connect to how we behave. If one part is “out of whack” the rest will follow. Let this post be a reminder to check in with yourself (yes even right now) and be honest by answering this question: “Have I been ignoring some whispers 🤔?”
